About the Role

Codegen is hiring a full-time Senior/Staff Compute Platform Engineer to build our next generation compute infra. The role involves iterating on features, prototyping solutions, and refining them to enterprise standards. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, high-agency individual capable of working independently and collaboratively to drive initiatives to completion. This is a senior-level position suited for professionals who have thrived in fast-growing companies and are excited to build an elite engineering culture.

Qualifications

Significant experience managing Container Orchestration clusters.
A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience.
Demonstrated maturity in judgement and the capability to architect large systems independently.
A strong background in backend development, particularly with complex, stateful systems, and profound Python and/or data processing experience.
Proven track record as a prolific developer who collaborates effectively with teams and can assume the role of a tech lead on projects.
Self-guided with a knack for identifying and solving problems without needing supervision.
Previous AI experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

The hired candidate will be entrusted with substantial portions of our backend infrastructure, including but not limited to:

Design and maintain our next generation containerized compute platform
Iterate quickly with the rest of the team, prioritizing customer outcomes over perfect implementations
Prototyping new solutions, bringing them to a functional state, and then refining them to be robust and ready for enterprise deployment.
